January 16, 2018
The Bay Farm Island Library is delighted to bring in the Year of the Dog with a special Lunar New Year event on February 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The highlight of the program will be a multimedia storytime for school aged children ages 5 and above featuring a guest storyteller from the Asian Art Museum. This presentation explores the ways Lunar New Year is celebrated by different cultures throughout Asia. In addition, the afternoon will feature crafts, light refreshments and the possibility of surprise entertainment.
Storytime begins at 2:00 p.m. in the Leydecker Parks & Recreation Building next to the Library. Entrance is at the back of the building or through the library. Crafts and other activities will be taking place in the library throughout the afternoon.
This program is presented in conjunction with the Asian Art Museum, co-sponsored by the Friends of the Alameda Library, and has been facilitated through a generous Arts and Culture Grant from the Rotary Club of Alameda. It is free and open to all.
