The City of Alameda is updating its 2008 Local Action Plan for Climate Protection and is gathering a first round of public input via a community survey. This survey will help the City understand residents’ values and priorities around reducing greenhouse gas emissions and responding to the impacts of climate change. The survey is available online and in-person at the Main Library (1550 Oak Street) and at the front desk of most City departments. The survey will close on Friday, August 10.
The City will discuss the results of this survey at the first public meetings for the update to its climate change plan, which will be held at the following times and locations:
- September 24, 6:30-8 pm: Harrison Recreation Center at Lincoln Park (1450 High St)
- September 25, 6:30-8 pm: Community of Harbor Bay Isle Owners’ Association (3195 Mecartney Rd)
- September 26, 6:30-8 pm: O’ Club (641 W Red Line Ave)
